I do not daily drive my cobalt any more. I actually didnt drive it at all in the past year since I bought my house. Its looking like ill be able to play with it more once spring rolls around. I picked up a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution to be my daily driver/grocery getter for here in the snow belt.
So, when you machine 5 new holes, what do they do to the original studs the wheel rested on? Are they unscrewed and put into the new holes? And aren't there structural problems w/ leaving the original holes unfilled in the hub? Doesn't drilling it out make it a bit weaker/more brittle?

Yeah you just move the studs to the new holes. I havent had any problems with mine at all. Everyone does it that way.
