A quick call to Crower and I was talking with a very nice guy who told me they can custom grind any profile I want. GMPP sells the cam blanks and they grind them. I believe Crane does regrinding. Not a fan of the whole regrind idea as I had nothing but problems with regrinds the 2 times I used them in my V8 builds. I prefer useing non regrinds.
so if i buy the cams from gm, what do i tell these guys i want??i have no idea lol and will they install em for me if i bring my car down there

Yupers! You can either get the brand new virgin blanks and send them to Crower to grind for you OR they can get them for you. But then you have the mark up to deal with. You'd have to call them to see if the markup would be less then the shipping to you and then to them as it very well might be. As for telling them what you want just call them up and tell them what you have, what your goals are and they'll take it from there. Just make sure they know the car will still be street driven so they don't give you a radical full race grind that has to idle at 1200 rpm! A nice street or street strip cam set would be your best way to go.

Just give up and have little to no power goals like me!

No one in my area knows how to tune my car....even though I'm located near a ton of prestigous well known shops. Its either drive up to NJ to Tune Time, or just remain un-tuned......all 11 CEL codes and all.

I can't see 220whp+ without cam regrinds imo.
Thanks for the explanation

I live in an area that requires a cat. Do I run a cat? Nope

Been cat-less since November '06 and my car yet to be impounded, lol.

I'll call Wes and see if I can get him to post some info in this thread.
I contacted Crower about year ago and I was quoted only $150 for a regrind of my stock cams. There was a 2 week turn around.

damn that sounds like some badass pricing on the regrinds. i might have to look into this

I've heard the LNF cams work with the 2.4, but swapping those over would most likely only benefit a F/I 2.4

The exhaust cam will swap, it would be a killer setup for a turboed 2.4L but would probably kill an NA or blown setup imo.
