thanks. only problems im getting into now is making it go faster. dam California laws are keeping me from turbo/supercharging it. don't really have the cash anyways, but in the future it could've been a posibility

 

get the stock lnf setup .. lol you might be able to pass it off

 

I'm supercharged, and I live in cali.

 

but you bought it that way, right? i have a 2.4L (as the forum states). everyone is saying to turbo/super that would fail visual and 1 person said adjusting timing 3* would cause issues. have you smogged it? any issues? i can't be takingg off the kit and going back to stock everytime i need smog

I have a 2.4. Supercharged at the end of march 09. Just paid for registration 3 weeks ago. No smog. I looked up the rules of smog, and if your car is newer than 04, then it's exempt from smog for 6 years after the model year. So since my car is an 07, I don't have to smog till 2013

 

i bought them off a friend since i have a sport (17's) and these are SS 18's... he painted them. didn't do too good of a job mounting them or anything, little nicks i had to touch up. but painting them right, taking your time, etc. will leave a great result. definitely paint them if you have them time. if you have money...powder coat


as for this... i know. i have an 08 and dont need smog for another 4 years. but they can do a random inspection, if you didn't look. just wait for your renewal. mine said something about that.plus they charge you a little more for not smogging it. also, at this point, i plan on keeping this car for a while. so having it illegal in a few years might be a problem

 

In 2 years I plan on going back to stock and getting something bigger and better lol Sell off all my parts and trade her in. Hopefully something good and affordable will be on the market in that time lol
