06 2.4L one of two for the year with everything except onstar (in Laser Blue Metallic, that is). Paid 19.7K fully loaded. They even drove it down from PA (had 365 miles when I got it) for my graduation. Absolutely love it, especially now that I've swapped the spoiler with my friend's S/C wing.

As for performance parts, go with GM made parts, unless you wait (like me) for the warranty to be up and then transform it into a beast

I bought the 2.4L specifically for its potential once trubocharged (no replacement for displacement). Yes, I understand I'll be paying more than a SS S/C, but I want this one

I don't know why I wasted the time to read both pages of this thread - half the prices are in US dollars, and half are in Canadian.... And invariably, some guys list the TOTAL price including tax and interest and some don't (yes its true; the other day some guy mentioned his 21,000 "out the door" price, but when I did the math - $$$ per month x 72 months - it came to 25,000).

Maybe this should be a sticky. Price threads aren't very useful.

dont judge the cobalt by its first test drive cause its takes a good 1000 miles to break in and is alot faster. its got alot of torque through out the power band and with little mods you can beat alot of cars especially a mustang. i killed everyone i ever raced. hell i even beat a 2006 saturn ion supercharged by a couple cars three times.
