manual tranny for 2.4?

hey so i was thinking of doing a tranny swap on my 06 2.4 cobalt ss, and before you all tell me i might as well get a new car, i'm pretty sure i can get a good deal on the tranny from somebody who works on cars that i personally know...i plan on that then throwing on the cold air intake and sc and getting it tuned any thoughts?

OK, youre new so Ill just say next time maybe try searching before making a thread, this has been discussed many times.

Youll need:
flywheel
clutch
trans
axles
trans mounts
shift cables
shifter assembly
console trim plate
clutch pedal assembly
clutch master cylinder assembly
a tune
various wiring and connectors

Thats the basic list. youre also looking at probably 3-5 days of loabor if you do it in your driveway.

F25 is good enough, people been pushing lots of torque through the F25 and its held up well.

WHo? has been building lots of torque in an F25 equipped car? (You know that F25 isnt the box in the 2.2/2.4, right?)

Since forever, LOL.

The NA cars use the F23

The F25 was never in the Cobalt(or any Chevy for that matter)

That definitely sounds like it's way more work than it's worth, unless your a serious drag racer. Then I can see it worth the time.

Really? In what platform? I've just never heard of anyone trying to push anywhere close to 600 horses through the stock F23 and I'm interested in knowing more.
