meth gains...
I know theres been posts about this before but im tired of lookin thru all the crap and not getting a good answer, so im posting this to see if any of u guys (2.4 or not) have seen a big difference after using Meth.
Beside it being a good cooling mod, what kinda power could i gain from it after...?
has anyone seen a difference in the dyno numbers maybe!?! If so what kit are u using

0, in fact you'd probably lose HP if you slapped a meth kit on a N/A motor. If you aren't running a forced induction setup there is no reason to run meth
on my Caliber SRT-4, running 50/50 meth allowed me to add 2psi and 2 degrees of timing, which netted 23whp - there is no direct HP gain from running meth, it just allows you to run more boost and timing due to cooler IATs and mimicking higher octane fuel

fair enough - I wasn't sure given that it was posted in the LE5 section
for SC applications certainly the biggest benefit is going to be the cooling aspect, HP gains would be minimal. 10-15 if you can get away with 2 degrees more timing and another pound of boost

i have been able to crank out like 8* more of timing advance on SC set-ups using a 80% meth 20% water mix

hmm thats weird thats about the same conditions here right now. im also only running a 50/50 mix, but i didnt notice a really sufficient amont of cooling on the iats so im may go up to a 80/20 mix to run more timing

cooling from the meth kits are negligible IMO. it helps but barely. just up the meth content and throw some more timing at it

thats what i plan on doing. Now grant you alot of time was spent in tuning the VE table on the car which alot of people dont do, so when we got to tuning the MAF the car was major heat soaked that didnt help matters
