Most hp at the lowest price?

The title speaks for itself. but for background info i have a 2006 chevy cobalt 22 2.4L and i want more horsepower other than my magna flow exhaust and the injen intake.

i dont think magnaflow exhaust was cheap..isnt it like 600 bucks? and you get no real gains??

anyways n20 is the cheapest...if you want the most horsepower go shorty header/dp+cams..thats good for 200whp

I dunno about that BUT a header/dp, cams and a TUNE will definitely put you at 200whp and that'll cost you about $1500-1600.

Take a good look at IonFeright's car (well, whats left of it anyways) before you install your nitrous kit, lol.

Don't want another toasted Ion in the CSS.net graveyard ya know......

nitrous. i'm not a big fan though. nice sleeper mod. i believe a 75 shot is what a stock engine can handle without too much harm. anytime u juice, u do hard ur engine though, and blown pistons = no fun. and just remember, u have to pay to play. what r ur intentions for ur car? what hp/tq range are u looking to be in? if u want alot of power, there really isn't a cheap way. with nawz u hafta keep filling it up. my advise is, if u want a fast car, understand u will be spending money. get urself a built motor with a tranny mod (aftermarket clutch n flywheel for standard, or a B&M shiftplus n flywheel for auto). Now ur ready for almost anything u wanna do to ur car...nawz, turbo, supercharger, etc. Like I said though, u want fast, its not cheap or else every honda wud be 500whp. I think a built motor, and turbo setup, with I/DP/E (Header too but that comes with the turbo kit), that wud be sufficient. Also, if ur going for track, throw some nawz on n hold on. u wud have a beast of a cobalt there. i'm not going to say hp/tq gains from motor,turbo,i/h/dp/e, but if i had to guess...top end n bottom for a rebuilt motor, n the turbo, i would guestimate 260-300hp, if not more. people have 1600hp cobalts on the track, it all depends on the MONEY n what U wanna do.

if u want the re-built engine sites u can look them up.

not counting N2O, either a lighter flywheel or a good tune will be the most bang for the buck.

I konw Ionforums was first to know about it.

But I only plan on running a 50 shoot, which will be good for low 14's high 13's.
My buddy ran a 14.3 @ 99mph woth only a 40 shoot and the same mods as me. I can be content with that.

Who cares who was the first to know about it, lol. Was it some contest to who heard about it before? I was just bringing up a point, not saying "well you didnt know this and I did", lol.

Anywho, even running a conservative shot can be dangerous. Im just saying, really think about it before ya do it, and if ya do, PLEASE only use it when really needed, and not on the street.

When I buckle down and decide to not be such a poontang...I think I am going to get the cams with an uber tune.

It would be nice to get into 13s without F/I OR N02...ahhh to dream

I would not mind haveing 200whp N/A, but that is most likely not going to happan anytime soon. After the nitrous and buying a bottle warmer, Im going to be done for awhile only breakes and tires after that.

nitrous is not dangerous

ferights problems are on the extreme side and not very common at all...he just had bad luck but I would in no way base my opinion on nitrous from what happened to him.

Well I tend to have bad luck in general (runs in my family, lol), which is why I steer clear of N20 entirely.

you can be fast and reliable, or fast and cheap, but not both... you decide.
