A few pics I forgot about....
And thanks to some vandals. The car is back in the bodyshop. But on a good note from this due to where they did some of the damage a few of the scratches and such are getting fixed. Also from them either kicking my bumper or cracking it when they walked over my car its now getting a whole new bumper. And with that comes a more professional version of the evo mod. As well as an SS/TC upper grill.
So in short they walked over my car and egged it. Total damage of 3900 bucks so far....
Will have more pictures coming this week as I repaint the wheels and brakes. But heres some bodyshop shots (crappy).
The roof decklid and rear bumper will be completely recleared and blended. So ironically the bumpers should match the car better than they did from GM.
And Because we were bored....
Me vs a TL-S with about the ending youd expect. I hit the brakes at 85mph. I did better than I thought I would. Race was from 20-85.
my buddy and I decided to run his 97 Eclipse GS 5 spd with full exhaust, intake, underdrive pullies against my cobalt (only had the intake and HID's at that point). Should be easy to figure out whose who. He has standard halogen if you need help.
Mods at this point:
SS/TC wheels
SS/TC gauge cluster
SS/TC Seats
SS/TC upper grill
Eibach Pro kit springs
ZZP shorty header
CTI 3" to 2.5" catted downpipe
SLP catback
Moog Swaybar endlinks
DDM HID lowbeam (6k)
DDM HID fog/driving lights (6k)
Gen 4 projectors
Victory red painted front chevy emblem
Mostly debadged
38% front tint
15% rear tint
Injen CAI
DD 1508 Sub (8 inch)
Sony Explode 600w amp (not great but works well especially for the price)
No real plans beyond this due to modding the camaro. But it might see an LSJ throttle body and a tune. Unless I end up feeling the need to break into the 14's then might break down and do zzp s1 cams and balanceshafts. But kind of doubting I will do that.

damn...when did they egg your car?
I cannot remember if you told me bout it last time we talked or not.
I still have my LSJ TB and the m62 that I took off....I think you need both
You should also do the front lip also; even my dad noticed how much of a difference something small like makes.

And they egged it and walked across it. Did a decent amount of damage though I didnt think they did 3900 worth!

And some crappy cell phone shots.
Thanks to the vandals I got a tc grill for free. Also got the evo mod painted professionally.
It looks a lot better and seems to get a lot of positive attention.
Still need to get the sun strip added back to the windshield as well as the tc lower grill.
Will get some better pics later on.

few more recent shots. Some might be reposts some wont be.....
Not the best look for it (when I had the tc grill out and was painting it black)
grill in and painted black
Fully debadged
giving the car a bit of love today...
Hood shot
Passenger side shot
And the 3 of them sitting the cobalt kind of lurking...
thats about it... haven't really done much to the cobalt for a while....

First off, LOVE your balt, using yours as a baseline for the mods I am doing to mine come good weather.
Secondly, a couple questions.
What kind of paint did you use for all the black and hows it holding up?
Where can you find the honeycomb grills?
And, I may have missed it, but what headlights are those? Thanks mate.

Paont on the grills is krylon fusion.
Paint.on the wheels is basic krylon.
The headlights are gen 4's.
The grills you can get on crateenginedepot.com
Got a couple more parts coming once winter is over but this car is pretty much done unless I run across some deals of the century. Lol

Little teaser...
yes I know they arent the greatest for performance but it will work just fine on a 2.4!
Picked up the JBP header from Victory Red looking like this
Made a pass at it with a green scotch pad and saw a bit of shine come through....
so figured id go ahead and polish it. Nothing too aggressive and its far from perfect but it will look good in the car!
First pass with the polish after 2 steps of sanding/wet sanding
Final step (the way its going to go on the car....
Over all Im pretty happy with how it came out. I gave up on this car being fast as its an auto 08. So I will throw this on with an lsj tb and a tune and hope for a 14.9 out of her. Beyond that I have a lip sitting in the garage waiting to go on her.
This part will hopefully go on with verbatim's help wednesday to replace my zzp shorty header.
So thats my very small update for now

And with a huge thanks to Nathan!!
Well finally got the new header on.....
But new control arm bushings as well as the header are on. This has got to be the weirdest sounding cobalt I have ever heard! Sound kind of like a wrx
The header finally on...
the old header and the nice crack....
The old control arm bushings.... 4 years old and only 70k miles on them...
The new moog bushings
Not much of an update but still an update....
