Exclamation Need answers! Plz help!

Morning. Everyone, so this morning I went to start my car and go to work, as always. When I cranked it the motor simply wouldn't turn over and sputtered as it "crashed" as I would put it. I tried multiple times to start the car, finally after mashing the throttle a few times and turning the keythe motor turned over. But it was rocking and putting very hard, it would either stall or continue to rock. I got the car out of the driveway, got about 30ft from my drive way and the car was lurching and jerkin back and forth(it looked like whatthey portray kids in the movies driving....gas brake gas brake) its a 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS 2.4 N/A w/ 118K on it. When I tried driving it I could mash my foot to the floor and it wouldn't go passed 2K-rpm. I could really use any advice/suggestions/ideas, I love my car and just like the rest of us, have to work. Thaznks for the time and any help.

If your car is giving you problems like that, you should NOT be driving it at all. That's asking for trouble.

And yes... any codes?

For starts, pull the red battery cable for a bit to reset the car (Essentially) try it then. see if any codes pop up

Have an 06 2.0 doing the same thing. I could unhook the battery for about 30 sec to reset the computer and it would crank fine for a couple of days then do it again. It finally died thursday and is now setting at the dealership waiting for them to check it.

I had something similar happen on a 03 2500 silverado. Wound up being the throttle body. No codes came up. The tech had to test the t/b and the gas pedal.

sounds like your intake tube isn't connected, I had a similar issue with my LSJ a while back after the dealer worked on it...they decided to leave it disconnected.

I would take your intake off, and while you're at it, visually inspect the cleanliness of your throttle body (clean if needed), and ensure that the sensor that plugs into the throttle body is A. Fully connected, B. That the wires aren't melted or pulled out. || Also make sure that your Mass Air Flow sensor is connected, etc. ||
