Lol, doesn't sound like you got a good tune. I have one that works just fine. If you are still rich then it has not properly scaled for the fuel injectors.

PM me if you need some help. I am sure the G5 and Cobalt are nearly identical.

I hope you did not pay retail for the injectors. Please tell me you got them used off of someone here?!

You HAVE TO have a tune. There is no option about it.

^^^agreed, put em in when you're getting it tuned, or else you'll flood your motor with fuel and it wont start

Oh Lordy! *holds head in hands*

DO NOT TAKE IT TO A DYNO SHOP TO PAY FOR TUNING! Find someone around you that has HPTuners, and have them adjust your Flowrate for the bigger injectors. That's all that really NEEDS to be done. From there you will want a tune that adds a good amount of timing.

With these Cobalts, I cannot stress enough.......do not go to a big time shop and pay out your ass for labor and stuff, when it can be done by yourself, or someone here. We are all here to help each other. The other guys are there to have you pay to keep the doors open. Usually the cost of tuning at a shop is equivalent to a Rent payment, atleast here in Arizona. Please don't spend a rediculous amount of money on this mod.

well my options are pay 150 for the shop here to do it or drive to queens ny (4 hours) for 06blackg85ss to do it (havent discussed price) or wait till may 12th when he comes up here to get it done.... im an impatient person so i prefer one of the first two what do you think

There was a thread that had people with HP Tuners post where they were at. You might check there and see if there is anyone closer to you.

Actually $150 for tuning is pretty cheap. You might want to double check the price by calling them and telling them what you want done. Most shops try to rake you over the coals.

Check this thread and the Frapper map link in the first post of it. There is a guy in Texas that has HP Tuners.

Do these just have an injector constant or are they like the lsj with a injector flow rate table? I haven't seen any calibrations for the 2.4's
Did you think there is any point doing this to a car with only a cold air and exhaust.
I can see bumping the timing but do these cars max out the injectors?
Thanks,C

There is no constant its a flow rate table. Really easy to calculate.

Stock cars are maxed out already.....thanks GM!

It would help in your case so I can just do the compare file on your VIN and send it back to you already encoded with it so you won't need anyone else to purchase total year credits for HPTuners or do a compare file on your own.

Send away!

I should be able to turn it around really quick for you once I get it.

Harness is in! I will install it all tonight. I will also be retuning to allow the car to run the new fuel injectors without killing itself. from there, i will either tune myself, have DTP do a little for me, or use someone's tune, all depending on power gains and prices and such. Then again, I would really like ot see whats actually going on in HPTuners and how the car is tuned so I know what to do when I have problems.

Edit: kinda waiting on Stevo to see what he has come up. Any gain ideas my friend?
