Yeah I just pulled alot of the bedplate to block sealant off and oiled the cylinders and mic'd the bores. Cylinder wall crosshatching still looked perfect. Now its all wrapped up and waitin to go to the machine shop

So if you don't mind me asking what do you expect to have spent on the engine build?

Holy ****. I think it's going to cost me about $2500 max with the stronger crank.

Crank, pistons, rods and head studs are ~$1450 then it's all the little stuff with possible head work and a second block.

Well plans have changed a little

Bought an RV with a buddy to drive cross country in after we graduate, so funds for the engine ran out real quick lol.

I do have a complete return style fuel system and pump which will go in very soon, then the boost is gettin cranked to 14-15psi. I'll be gunning for the 406whp stock block LE5 record, will definitely have the fuel and turbo for it just hope the engine holds. I have a backup 50k mile '06 motor that will go in if she does pop but I've got some faith in the old girl.

I've got a couple other little projects in the works too. I'll post pics soon

You had an LK9 intake manifold right? Are you going to dyno compare the two manifolds? Im curious if the log manifolds are better flowing then the factory LK9.

I had one but I went back to the stock mani a while ago. Even with factory gaskets I would always end up getting a vac leak around the pcv port and was tired of dealing with it. When I turn the boost up I'm a little scared of the stock plastic cracking and I think there will be decent gains with a larger plenum manifold. And of course I love making things lol
