If you're asking me, yes I do need a hub. Is GMs a multiple pulley system? 4 bolt or 5 bolt? What size pulley? Then, how much

I'll need to grab the lsj tensioner, idler and alternator bracket and install those first. I don't think I could run much of a smaller pulley on my le5 belt stuff. Even with a stage 2 belt.

So instead of a tensioner, you have the pulley on a fixed bracket? How does that keep the tension on there? Now you know why the LSJ setup is the best to use for your swap.

Fixed pulley is just an idler, in still using the le5 tensioner with no alternator bracket.

Just coated and wrapped my header. I have to say, I was pretty dissappointed with the quality if the wrap. I used the DEI titanium wrap along with their silicon paint, and wire wrap.

The fiber was good looking, but skewed very easily, and frayed on the cut ends very easily. Doesn't look terrible, but it's good enough. I can't say I'd recommend the wrap and their metal tie wraps, but I had a bad experience with the stuff. Someone a bit more knowledgeable may have a better finished product.

Oh and I did manage to get my stock heatshield forced back into place too.

It actually doesn't look too bad. What are the benefits of coating and wrapping? Heat reduction?

I did this mostly to prevent the wiring hanging on the back of the engine from melting, but it the long run, less heat under the hood.

The LSJ utilizes the corral in the middle of the valve cover for all the spark plug wires and other wires. The LE5 just hangs over the top of the header.

Same thing my uncle said! I thought he was full of it so I was ignorant and didn't. Overall I'm...ok with the outcome, but it could be better. Someone told me the header will eventually warp anyway, so I'll just have it done correctly with the new one I buy.

TJ, when will you be down south here? I'm going to shop around for the LSJ tensioner, idler and alt bracket, so I'll be ready to pulley down. I've got some parts I want to sell to help fund injectors and a new heat exchanger, just need to get off my ass and do it lol.

I'm assuming soak before application, that's what my uncle did for the downpipe on his truck. Also, invest some money on good metal tie wraps, you want the stuff to last a while on there.

Just ordered OTTPs stage 1 heat exchanger. It's bigger than ZZPs and is a bit cheaper too.
