New Years update!

Still haven't made an exhaust clip

I bought all the LSJ belt stuff, idler, tensioner and alt bracket and installed it. (Thanks Mongo!)

I purchased another blower with ZZP's multiple pulley system on it, plus it came with a 2.8" pulley.

Still up in the air on E85 or Meth injection now. I can't decide what's more practical.

I'm still procrastinating on ordering a clutch, why I'm not sure. But I WILL be buying a KY stg 3 clutch. Good to 475ft-lbs according to TurboTechRacing.

Still searching for a set of LSJ SS/SC rims so I can order new tires. Mine are DONE!

Noticing a bit of wheel hop, well more than a bit more like a dump truck load! I can't even start in 1st unless I roll a little. So I'm looking into some Powell CABs.

Other than this, not too much has happened recently. Oh I finally figured out where my wire lead off my wideband was! Was able to log afr for the first time successfully.

2.8 should be fun

E85: nothing to fail and blow up your motor, if I have to go on a long trip I just fill a 5 gallon jug and throw it in the trunk

I love my KY stg3, I think you will too

what tires?

powells cabs and F23 rotated mount, even after just the mount I got no more wheel hop

E is a 63 mile round trip for me. I read a lot of ppl avg 220-260 miles per tank, so nearly 1/2 tank just getting fuel lol. I do 270 miles a week just going to work. I'd have to fill my tank, plus maybe 15 gallons of E in cans.

As for tires, I'm unsure. I do mostly highway driving, 20/80, our roads out here are pretty stupid, potholes, bumps and rocks.

ehhh yeah that is a stretch then lol. maybe consider getting a 55 gallon drum? but that does seem like a pretty big inconvenience though

For a 55/gal drum, cheapest I found was about $400. That's over $7 a gallon haha.

But I didn't look into this too much. Could use to be looked at again.

im running poly motor/tranny mounts and dont really have any wheel hop issues. stock engine and tranny mounts allow engine to move all over the place on hard pulls. sometimes between high rpm shifts the motor would literally bump against the firewall when i had oem motor and tranny mounts

Do you just have the poly inserts? Or did you order someone's poly mounts? I heard rotated mounts are for lowered cars and the mounts mainly push the engine back to its happy spot.

I think I found some tranny mounts made by Torque Solutions, and TTR makes the upper engine support.

Just installed my new SickSpeed oil catch can. It looks like **** now, but tomorrow I need to buy new hoses for everything.

You should have seen the gunk I cleaned off my throttle body and out of my intake and the breather tube. It was some smelly white cheesy stuff. Pretty gnarly.

Just some recent updates for everyone to follow along with me.

I think I've boycotted E85. I don't think it will work for the amount of driving I'll need to aquire it. Instead I may roll with a Meth injection setup on a 3"pulley. As for the mods to come in the first few months of the year, they follow as:

KY Stage 2 clutch
Some stiff transmission mounts
Powells Spherical CABs
3" Pulley
50/50 Meth and 91 oct tune
Eibach Sportlines (possibly front and rear sway bars?)
FE5 TC shocks/struts.
New tires on my recently purchased LSJ wheels: Falken 452s or Nitto 555s 225/45/18

Feel free the leave feedback on what y'all think with the above. Lessons learned and tips and tricks are more than welcome.

I'd say ditch the sportlines and get CM. I had those before and my cm are only slightly higher in the rear. The ride difference is ridiculous though. So much smoother.

Do you already have the FE5 shocks/struts? If so could you share where you found them? I've been in the market for quite some time.

When ordering them from canuck, do I want the ones for a "cobalt" or a "cobalt ss"?

EDIT: CM springs show a greater drop in the front than rear. I'd be looking for more of a level look, vs a front heavy look.

The numbers that they show on their site are incorrect. My cm springs are almost exactly the same as how my sportlines were.

Not to hijack your thread...sorry.... but what are you SC'd 2.4 guys using for MAP sensors ?
T-MAP from 2.0sc.... is it a 2.5 bar MAP ? I have one and want to use it for my IAT in the
manifold. Who's tuning you guys, cause I could use some info on some tune settings for the new T-MAP.

Thanks for any info

I'm using the MAP that's on the LSJ intake manifold. Only using it for monitoring IAT2 temps as far as I'm aware of.

Def use it for the map function too, the LE5 can see up to 180 kpa so as long as you input the sensor offset/gain it will help the quality of your tune as well

Thanks noorj.... I am going to use it as the MAP as I'll be using a Saab 2.0T manifold that uses the T-MAP sensor. Is it 2.5 BAR ?

So what I'm looking for help is in these settings below.

MAP Sensor Linear..... STOCK=94.43kpa........ 2BAR=200.00kpa (zzp startuptune)
MAP Sensor Offset..... STOCK=10.34kpa........ 2BAR=4.55kpa ....^^

So I'd believe Linear would be like 250.00kpa
not sure on offset ????

Thanks

Yup 2.5 BAR if your using the stock LSJ tmap. In HPT the engine diagnostics-->airflow tab, the map sensor linear has to be changed to 270.59 and the map sensor offset is -3.30.

edit: That other one you posted "ZZP startup tune" would be if you used their 2 bar map sensor, not the LSJ 2.5 bar map.

I've got FE5 shocks/struts and CM springs. Had em for about 3 years now. They ride nice, handle well on a track, and they sit pretty level. You'll like them.
