I have been having issues with my 06 2.4 for a while now, different things, but they always seems to be accompanied by a p1174 code. Recently I had the flexpipe break on me (stupid GM engineering) and replaced the whole downpipe with a ZZP one with a high-flow. It created the usual issue, the p0420. I used a homemade defouler (the process found on yourcobalt) and installed it, but the clearance from the o2 bung to the frame rail on the drivers side of the car just barely allows the fix to fit, and the wires are rubbing against the frame rail bad enough to where I believe it has caused the o2 sensor to fail (or at least the wiring to break, I haven't had a chance since I installed it to look) and trip the p1174 code. My question is: 1. is this the most likely cause now? i am not popping a p0420 code anymore (YAY!!) and 2. if this is causing the p1174 code just replacing the o2 sensor won't help much without a new fix so would either the racingsolution.com defouler or the vibrant one work and do they fit? if anyone has used either of those on their 2.4 with the same clearance issue as me please let me know ASAP so I can figure out which one to buy. I need to get my emissions testing done soon and the CEL being on is (stupidly) and auto-failure.

theres a TSB about faulty injectors in this forum, it says to replace all four and reflash ecu

I'd say that would work....but I'm not having any actual performance issues....it was just the light would pop on and off seemingly at random. I couldn't find the post you were talking about with the TSB....if you could point me to it that would be great....I'm hoping to get my emissions done tomorrow since the light has been off for about 2 full days now (yea it turned off the day after I posted...).
