What exhaust do you guys think u gain the most hp from? I have a magnaflow on my 2.4 and I don't like it at all it is too quiet and it winds bad to and I got underneath it the other day and it seemed to have quite a bit of rust on it.

I had a random old man in a slightly fixed up 2nd gen Miata compliment the sound of mine while I was at Myrtle Beach, and he even asked who made it and if they made one for his car b/c he was interested in getting the same brand/style exhaust, lol. Good stuff.

Bigger then 2.5" on a 2.4 = torque loss but upper RPM gains.

yeah, 3" is overkill on an n/a 4-cyl. Leave the 3" exhausts for the boosted guys, or the guys with more cylinders.

2.5" is the best size for our cars w/o a doubt.

Get your turbo setup first. You can run a 3.0 with a turbo. But the exhaust comes last if your going that route. Go 2.5 while you wait or dont do anything, just get a muffler or something.

What he said. A 3" setup will hurt you more than help you unless your running some form of forced induction. Even so, a 2.5" is still big enough to use in coagulation with a turbokit, just so long as you aren't going crazy with the boost.

Btw, SRod, I believe I saw your car at HIN a few months back parked next to a blue Tiburon. I took a pic b/c my girlfriend has a dark blue V6 6-speed Tiburon and I have a 2.4SS, so I found that kinda ironic.
