I know but I'm saying I don't want to spend $260 dollars on another intake. Do you know if there's a way I can get just the heat shield from a K&N intake?

They dont sell it seperate and there in a very good chance it wont even fit your setup...

You can look into the Turbo Tech Racing upper engine mount, it does the same the the ingalls does, but a bit firmer yet... (Which WILL fit with the GMPP intake)

Keep in mind, do you have an auto tranny or a manual? The ingalls will only fit the manual trans properly.

I have manual. And I rather get the ingalls than the motor mount because the motor mount can't be easily removed before going to the dealer like the ingalls can. And the ingalls is adjustable where as the motor mount isn't. With the ingalls I can just adjust when I don't need it stiff, and just stiffen it when I need it stiff. I like to be able to adjust things rather than having a permanent setting. With the motor mount it's always going to be stiff which is going to give me constant vibration which will make cracking more prone. The ingalls would be better in my situation as my cobalt is a DD. All I know is I definitely need one. I had to go to the dealer recently for a leaking tranny, because the seal broke. That 1-2 shift really slams the tranny pretty bad...
