Look. FTL for arguing about things. Getting kind of off subject on this. I didnt realize it would blow up.

So tune seems to be the answer to my question.

Id drive to AZ.......if it werent so far away.

EDIT:

I should have the ability to edit dumb posts in this thread.

Why would you have to do that? The only time it will interfere with the dealer is if your tune is locked and they need to do something with your computer. They rarely ever touch the ECU anyhow.

I didn't realize it would blow up either. I didn't realize I was crossing a troll bridge. You can find someone in Ohio that can tune it, or send away to a place like Vector and have them mail you a new computer and swap it out. There are options that don't involve cross-country driving.

That sucks, since I try to keep my car around 2000rpm when I'm in city traffic. Dunno if that's the greatest for my gas mileage, but I assume lower rps = less gas burnt (2000rpm).

yeah, usually the lower rpms mean less gas burnt, but it depends on speed and engine load as well.

Obviously you get less gas mileage when you are going uphill even if you hold the same RPMs. And if you drive at 0mph then you will get 0mpg.

Tuning looks rediculous. Way too many numbers and charts for my liking.

Stock tune and engine. You won't get that in higher end performance cars like a vette simply because they have enough power to not really notice it. Although I don't know many vette owners that don't have them tuned. Higher end cars come programmed for performance as well.

Haha, they have even more power hidden than you think. I was able to tune 18rwhp into my GTO in no time. And that was easy! Vettes hold back more than you think too.

And as for tuning......it's a giant brick wall. Once you figure out how to get over it the wall doesn't seem so big anymore.
