Problem with lsj throttle body
I bought the lsj throttle with the adaptor plate from zzp last week. When installed it, my car was idling very high. I took out the car for a 20 min run to see if the computer will recognize the new tb since it is supposed to require to tune. Once i got home, i shut off the car. Once i started it. The rpm;s rised to 2000 then VERY slowly went down. Once at 800, i gave it a shot of gas then the car shot up to 3000 and stayed there.
Did this every time i gave the car a shot of gas then would never go back down. Anyone have any thoughts?

Did you trim the lip around the throttle opening on the IM? I've heard that even with the adapter plate, you still need to do some trimming so the throttle doesn't hang up on it. Pull off your intake and make sure the throttle opens and closes without sticking.
Also, did you get a tune to compensate for the larger TB or not?

Zzp states that it requires no tuning but who knows I would check the opening as stated above , also did you make sure everything was fitting snug and no gaps, I haven't installed mine yet but the nipple that comes off the lsj throttle body what hooks up to that?

Nipple is for the brake booster line. anything that hooks up to LE5 TB will hook up the same to the LSJ TB.

I had the EXACT same issue with mine.
I had to get a re-tune in order to get rid of this problem.Vector Motorsports fixed it by reflashing my ECM with GM's latest updated file and then retuning that new file.
ZZP states that you don't need a tune, but that's only true for certain cars I think... I know of one guy that installed it and didn't need a tune (a G5 GT), while I had to get one.
FYI, capping that little EGR tube won't do anything so don't bother trying...
nothing, just leave it
your's is already connected directly at the intake manifold on a LE5.

Well i guess that means ill just have to get a tune. Thanks for your input.
I got hp tuners. Does anyone have the correct number for the ETC Area Scalar for the lsj throttle body in the 2.4l
