its not different because im turbo...its the upper rad hose that EVERY cobalt has and its a good spot to install the sender as it reads the coolent as it leaves the engine but before then fans. Its the proper location.

In the real world no, its an econo car perfect for college aged students, or those who need a cheap reliable car.

And this is comming from someone who really does love the cobalt series.

just curious
Then whats a "cold start" then? just starting and going right away? And I keep my DIC on tempurature or av MPG I don't wana have to scroll all the time.

by warming up i was thinkin normal temperatures, id only go 30 seconds, winter or when its close to freezing i give it a a start then go in and let it idle for 3 minutes or so, only cause im a ***** and hate the cold.

This usually helps:

Get in the car, start the motor.

Clutch in, shift to 1st.

Floor the accelerator pedal, and rapidly release the clutch.

Repeat until car is fixed.

Always beat on the car before it fully warms up. This helps to heat the oil faster so your top end gets lubricated quicker. Hence less wear.

It's called reading. Instead of going to buy pointless gauges sit at home for 20 minutes and read up on automotive knowledge. Even basic automotive knowledge is a really good thing to have.

If you don't want to learn you won't, but saying no one is there to teach you has nothing to do with it.

So when you put it that way, how do you expect me to be a ricer? Ricers brag and think they "know it all" and etc but I'm telling you right here right now all I know is gas pedal is go brake pedal is stop and how to operate a clutch and drive manual. What I do to my car is to make it look better from ordinary with my idea of how I want it to look.
A ricer by most people seems to be someone who does hideous exterior/interior mods or does mods which are pointless and not needed.

IE: Crappy looking body kits, ugly chrome rims, eBay racing seats, harnesses that attach to the rear floor, unnecessary gauges, gauge faces, neons that are NOT hidden or shitty Walmart sound systems.

Those are just a small list of things that can qualify you as a ricer.

And no I don't "rev" my engine at anyone either.
Someone who revs there engine at people is not a ricer but rather a tool.

Or race anyone.
Racing does not make you a ricer. Street racing is frowned upon but I bet 99% of this site has done it once or twice. Racing is actually the exact opposite of ricer.

The ECOTEC requires it. Without it your rod will shoot through your oil pan and cause heartaches for all.

I can't learn that way I'm hands on I need to see it visually to learn.

Its not that I don't want to learn its that I don't have anyone to teach me or show me and yes that does have everything to do with it because of what I said above

I'm sorry but in real life it's the opposite of this place I get nothing but compliments. Just last night this chick was practicaly orgasming over my car and everything about it. The engine, the interior, everything. She wants to buy a cobalt now. And I don't care if you believe that or not but that's the truth.

"IE: Crappy looking body kits, ugly chrome rims, eBay racing seats, harnesses that attach to the rear floor, unnecessary gauges, gauge faces, neons that are NOT hidden or shitty Walmart sound systems."

I fit in just unnecessary gauges then. But they really aren't THAT unnecessary cause other cars have these gauges stock just not on a pillar. So I wouldn't really say they're "unnecessary."

O well I raced a taurus once but that's about it. But still I don't race, or go around saying my car is fast or asking people to race or anything like that. My car is a slow non F/I car period and I know it is and I honestly don't care cause it's just my DD.

Thanks!

Yes they look cool and they also serve purpose. I said it before I hate scrolling thru the DIC so its easier to have it on a gauge. That way I can know when the cars warmed up to start driving.

Wow, lazy much? And they look cool in a car that might actually need them. Not a stock Cobalt.

Forget most cars come stock with those 3 gauges? ooooooo so what's the difference? Doesn't matter at all if I'm modded or not those are normal standard gauges. There is no argument.
