Regular oil vs Synthetic Oil

Or I can just go to the 1 down the block from my gf in parlin
well hey at least it was 30 bucks hahaha but I'll do the next one. He said it would run me $100. Also they charge $97.97 per hr for labor WTF?!?!!?!??!!?!?!?
well yea I never said I wasn't going to... lol
Tsk, tsk, all this advice and you still went to the dealer. Promise us you will do it yourself next time.
You can do it without jackstands, if you're somewhat limber and have long arms. I reach in just in front of the passenger's side tire and get the drain plug out that way. It needs a shallow drain pan to fit under there! And that pan gets very full, so be careful when you slide it out later.
Be sure to lube the little O-ring on the bottom of the filter nipple; if its not lubed it can bind in the casting and cause the filter to crush. There is a TSB out about this; its been posted here on the forum. If you've ever placed a filter in the casting without the cap on it, you'll see the nipple fits pretty tight in the bottom of the casting, and that is why its important to lube it (use a drop of oil for this).

I worked for a large Toyota dealer in PA and we had a real dumb ass working there. He changed the oil on a car. Forgot the bolt, filter, cap, and oil. The person drove off the lot and right on to 95. Didn't make it 2 miles. Car was shot.

never trust your car to a dealer service shop. I took a used car to them to get a rusted plate off the back just had it detailed ready for sale. Dude gets in to pull it up to the bay. Bam knocks the mirror off and runs a gash in the door on his bay jack. needless to say the car didn't get sold. and it wasn't just that place all of the dealerships are like that they get kids fresh out of school who will work for nothing. I made more then some of the guys there and i was a lot guy.

my friend sam works at jiffy lube. he told me this story where this guy pulled up (not sure what type of car) with a huge body kit and severely lowered. so he's trying to tell the owner that it wont make it onto the lift without scraping the **** outta the car. owner didn't wanna hear it nor believed him. so my friends like ok you told me to... so he drives up and scraaaaaaaaaaaaaape and the owners just standing there in disbelief and says...damn thats not good... !!! some people are real morons.

I know a person that that decided he was going to switch running regular oil(what his car ran with from the factory) and switch over to synthetic and he had nothing but troubles from there on out. Constantly having leakes, even when he switched back to regular.
I don't know if going from synthetic to regular would have a similar affect but all I know is if your oil cap says "5w 30 synthetic"(which I believe it does say) then stick with synthetic. Always stick with what that cap says.

Anyway,
I've used 5W30 conventional exclusively on this car (and all my previous ones). I got the oil analyzed recently; I'm getting no wear and the additives in the oil are performing as intended. No coolant, water or fuel dilution either. Everything looks good, in fact I could leave it in a lot longer if I chose to do so. Just thought I'd mention that for all those who think they'll ruin an engine by using regular oil.
