Removing Engine Plastic
How in the hell do i take off that ugly plastic cover on my 2.4L?
I think i need a freakin how to, cause that cap over the palstic does not budge.
Am i missing something or what, anybody got any pics that can help, of a de-plastic'd 2.4l?

I wondered if people ever took that plastic cover off. I remember when I first opened the hood I was like "wtf wheres the engine?".

lol pulled mine @ 280 miles on the car when i installed my CAI. Take off the regular oil cap and its easier if you pull the drivers side front corner up first then pull up and twards the drivers side front corner.
Its basically fastened via rubber sleeves slipped over posts.

No the only thing it does is makes your engine quieter. so when you take it off your engine will sound louder especially when you add a intake. It will also make your engine cooler when you take the plastic off and result in less heat soak.

ya the polished valve covers take some work. but if your willing to put in the time you won't regret it. trust me i'm half way done polishing mine and even at this point it looks a million times better.
