Runnin rich and random misfires
Those were 2 of a few codes set when I took the car to autozone today after the CEL blinking at about 6k RPM. The car hesitates at low to mid RPM then kicks in, everytime, then at past 6k in 2nd and 3rd gear it just really takes a crap and loses it and starts the CEL blinking.
I was told to clean the MAF. So I bought MAF cleaner.
I was told to clean the O2 sensor. So I bought electric parts cleaner.
I was also told to check/replace plugs. Will check before I buy.
The history of the car recently might play into some of this. For like almost a week the car had no air filter in January, somehow fell off my CAI by just driving. Saw it one day and fixed it, put it back on. 2nd problem, in December I had an exhaust leak at the header/downpipe. After several tries in 2 months, it was finally fixed. But for 200 miles, half of the exhaust was coming out of the header and was throwing a number of codes, that is all fixed now with the stock exhaust back on there with no leaks. The air filter has been cleaned a number of times but is looking a little old now, I have the GMPP intake on now. There is no cat on the stock downpipe, it was beaten out of the downpipe when someone suggested I had a clogged cat a little while ago.
If anyone can make any sense from any of this, for the love of god please let me know. Nobody wants to buy a car with problems. And I intend to sell it within about a year.
I also just realized I have been gapping my plugs wrong.
I did the left side style on all 4.
