i run a 2.8, dual pass, option b, zzp s3, phenolic spacer, k&n intake, badmab 3" header, zzp 3" catted dp that reduces to a 2.5, borla catback. no idea what the car makes power wise now or what it runs on the track

this is my plan for my next motor. hoping to piece it all together soon. would like to find a Gen 3 2.4 block and use 06-07 internals

do people actually buy 06 internals lol. I was just going to use my stuff to make some cool decoration

IDK, i dont want to spend a ton of money. id just buy a whole 2.4 for $400, take what i need an part the rest out. car has 192K on it, so i would like to do the motor, a fresher trans (my 2nd gear syncro is going) and i have a stage 2 excedy ready to go. If i can i would liek to find a wrecked one and take the sibframe, build the whole setup on that, swap them out and put all my suspension on afterwards. kinda like a mini resto to be sure i only have it apart once.

Sweet. I was looking at picking up a extra engine also so I can build it and not have my car down...but I'm having some extra unexpected expenses come up that won't allow me to do that. 192k is a lot....I thought my engine was old and its at 79k lol

lol yeah with as hard as i drive it, im happy with how long she has held up. likei said the syncro is starting to show wear, qucik 1-2 shifts grind.

i have noticed that Oil Pressure at operating temp has dropped about 10 PSI from when i put the guage in 3-4 years ago. it is what it is. i also get a bit of a knock/tick when i start it up after it sits for longer than a day.

like i said id like ot build it on the side while im driving it, so i can just take a week or so to swap it all out and make her scream again!

^ thats not a bad thing, i just Daily this thing about 30k miles a year,s o no need to go crazy with building it or making too much power. i still want the next motor to last.

Mine is my daily as well but I think it would be a lot for fun supercharged

i have put 15k on it but now its time to sell it. need to fund the new car and my stock motor can more then handle the s/c. just not the clutch lol

its a fully built 2.2 that is sleeved .20 over. its fun to have and flows so well but the cams are driving me nuts with the solid mounts lol
