Please forgive my ignorance here, but as the definition of ignorant means: to not know, or the lack of knowledge. I have a lack of knowledge when it comes to a cammed 2.4L beating an SS/SC stage 3. How in the world is that possible? I'm not calling you a liar, just that the stage 3 has more HP and the boost on its side, verse our NA engine with less HP. And beating an SS/TC as well? You seriously beat them fairly or were they bad drivers?
I understand your engine isn't stock either, and that it is built. I have plans to build my engine similarly, but I didn't think they were that fast.

qft...
unless you reduced the weight of your cobalt by 500+ lbs, you arent beating a car with similar weight as yours (considering theyre all cobalts we're refering to) with that much inferior power.
good luck with all that.

Thats what I was thinking.
212hp is crap.... a stock S2000 has about that. actually if not more...N/A.
Naturally Aspirated 4 cylinders is...retarded IMO.
Too much money for little gains.
Plus you cant beat the torque curve of a super/turbo'd 4cyl anyday.

ive done the mtx swap in my 2000 neon .. took about 5 hours just do swap the pedals.....had a govener of 4k in park so we had to make it think it was always in drive all the time... took some patience but no the less got it done in about a full weekend.. idk about a cobalt but the pedals in my neon were like one of the first things put in the car when it was assembled and i had it easy becase everything in the neon was made from the factory for both mtx and atx.. the cobalt seems to be that way but im not sure..
just my .02 hope it helps

i wouldnt go as far as saying thats crap, he took his time to build his N/A cobalt to some decent numbers, most 2.4 guys never break the 190whp mark, i mean like 95% or more of us cant do it. now if you drop that stock SC in there you could probably break 300whp pretty easily with a few mods. thats what im about to do

manual is better for racing in most cases (street cars in most cases) because we have better control over the powerband. i don't know if that can be tuned similar to an auto drag car or not. other than that.... shoulda got the manual.
