Agreed, I meant more from the perspective of the original poster's comment. Ie if the Vette and Cobalt both used an E38, could you take tuning kits/hardware/piggybacks/practices/whatever that worked on the Corvette and apply them (at least in principle) to the Cobalt. I think the answer to that is probably yes, with some caveats of course.

I was actually looking at a cutaway of an E40 (2005MY LS2 Vette or maybe from 2006 9-7X LH6) and misidentified it as an E67 (3 connectors also)
I actually have NO IDEA where I got the E67=LS7 from...
At the time (in the other thread) I thought we were talking about other E67 cars/engines (such as the supercharged Northstar LC3, which is also E67 AFAIK) and the potential for common tuning solutions and I stated that the LS7 was also (from memory)an E67 which was wrong! and I continue to perpetuate that myth here...
