Oh...you work for GM? Care to name your source as to whether or not GM is developing an S/C for the 2.4? Just saying, unless you're privy to some info the rest of us aren't, why are you making such bold statements as to what GM has planned for the LE5?

Wasn't here some guy who emailed GM a few months back, and they pretty much said it's never gonna happen.

I see no reason that you shouldnt be able to just take one off a 2.0 and make it work

yeah i read that post the guy talked about gm aint doing nothin for the 2.4. and yes the 2.0 SC will bolt up to the 2.4 with intake manifold and other small pieces to make it work and you have to move some things and take some things off. but why not go with the TVS Eaton SC cuz its pushin more power and overall its better.

I emailed the GMPP and they said they weren't planning any supercharger for the 2.4L cobalts. However, they could've just been bullshiting me.

first of all it makes no sense for gm to do anything with the 2.4 forced induction wise. When they did do that, the lsj was not being used/in existence, so there was no next level up. Second of all, whoever said go with the eaton tvs...wtf? do you really think it is that simple? You are going to have to do alot of fabbing and r&d and in the end, you would be much better off with a turbo setup, or maybe even a twin-screw. Why would you go through all the work of setting up an eaton that does not easily fit as of now...if you are gonna do all the work go with something better.

I know people who work there too. Doesn't mean I know "people" who work there. Just saying, going with the whole, "I know a guy" statement doesn't lend itself too well credibility wise.

I'm not knocking you, your probably right, but I have a hard time believing somebody at GM is feeding you information like that. What department does your source work at? Just curious.

I don't believe GM is working on a supercharger, but I'd just like to know where your hearing this info from, that's all.

i think the 2.4 is a few years ahead of itself, but it probley will have more options for F/I in a couple of years.

Well heres the thing in 2008 the cobalt ss/sc is gone completely absent from the chevy line up .....in which case the chevy cobalt ss n/a will be renamed the sport sedan/coupe
at this time the top performance cobalts offered by GM will now be the sport sedan/coupe
and only when.... that happends will we start to see some GM performance parts such as turbo/supercharger or any highperformance parts made for the 2.4l its all a marketing ploy.... there not stupid you think they are actually ridding themselves of one the best cars in its class "SS/SC" with out backing themselves up ?? chevy is more then aware that performance enthusiasts make up many of there sales......they will not let us down.

Speed Mafia makes a kit that uses a Procharger for the 2.2 Ions. Im sure with some custom fabbing and maaad engine tuning, someone could make it work. However, I dont think anyone wants to pay several thousand dollars for a "maybe", lol.

I'm getting the 2.4L procharger custom kit from speed mafia hopefully by the end of the summer. it's the same things as the 2.2 basically with a different bracket or 2, and at least the 2.4s have tuning unlike the 2.2's. a correctly boosted 2.4 will be a beast i can't wait

i hope you know what you are doing. A centri blower doesn't match up between two different cars (with relatively close displacement/flow) quite as easily as say a turbo. It is going to involve alot of work. Does anyone know what head unit they are using on that kit?

Im just waiting for someone to custom do that Speed Mafia Pro Charger kit on a 2.4 before I even think about that idea. I dont wanna go turbo b/c i've already invested too much for my intake, header, etc etc........
