So I paid $1.26 to fix car shifting hard, TC lights coming on, and gauges fluxing. I guess it is losing a ground intermittently or doesn’t have one at all now, depending on how your car is acting. I bought a bolt, wire and terminal lugs. I grounded the TCM to a bolt on the chassis. No problems since.

The same thing happened to me except it only did it on the interstate when i contained a constant high speed. Took it to the dealer ( which was hard to do because the check engine light would always cut off before i could take it) and i did have a camshaft actuator bad which cost me around 380 or so to fix. But the actual problem was the camshaft sensor (intake i believe) that replaced for free because of the expenses i had already paid. Its located on top of your block on the left side. their are 2 of them

Had the same problem. Changed the MAP sensor, TC light and CEL light still on. changed the MAF sensor, both light still on. Changed the purge valve solenoid-YAY!! No lights. Also check the wiring harness that connects into the MAF sensor, these tend to go out as well.

Sorry I have been out of town. ok on top of your valve cover on the passenger side is two sensors. On the cover itself will say int by one and ext by the other. they are held in with a 10mm bolt. each sensor was $35 and both were changed out in 10 mins. Just be sure to have a rag ready cause the sensors are down it the oil. Hope this helps.

Also, try twisting them a little before you just try to yank them out. Helps to break the seal, which as mentioned above is very good once they set in there. The o-rings flatten out and stick to the head, so they usually require some work to get them to pop free the first time.

I can definitely help you with this, I just had this problem, and I fixed it myself.. Saving who knows how much! Anyway, first thing you want to do is to pull your engine codes. You should get one referring to the Exhaust Camshaft Actuator Solenoid and/or one referring to the Intake Camshaft Actuator Solenoid. There's also another possibility of pulling the code for your Mass Airflow Sensor (With something about Sensor 1 Bank One).
It's really not that bad.. The symptoms you notice are a lot worse/embarrassing than it's worth to fix it.. Anyway, worst case scenario, you will need to buy:
1. Exhaust Camshaft Actuator Solenoid
2. Intake Camshaft Actuator Solenoid
3. Mass Airflow Sensor
The cost of taking your car to a shop to have this work done would be ridiculous. I bought everything off eBay recently. Each part I bought was pretty reasonable.. I bought each of the solenoid for $41.99, and the mass airflow sensor for $35. Anyway long story short, I have extra solenoids that came with my car in a bag of extra parts.. I also have a few ignition coil packs.. If you'd like to communicate with me, I would be more than willing to mail you my extra solenoids (Not the faulty ones, they're long gone). All you have to do is pay any applicable shipping cost for me.. Otherwise, you can buy the parts from eBay.
The Intake Solenoid is Part Number: 12646783
and
The Exhaust Solenoid is Part Number: 12646784
and
The Mass Airflow Sensor is Part Number: AFH70M-43A
To actually replace the parts (The labor), you won't have to spend more than 30 minutes if you know how to use basic tools.. If you let me know, I will provide pictures for a step-by-step on how to replace each of the parts. Just let me know!
