uhhhh why? It's not the 2.2, the 2.4's are good till about 400hp before you have to start doing internal work. Only issue was the valve springs when you start hitting mid 300's which he has covered

Its been known for awhile the 2.4's can handle to around there, theres a gm spec sheet floating around to back that up. Not to mentioned ZZP is pulling 356whp through an auto tranny 2.4 cobalt. Stock internals except 78lb valve springs with multiple track passes

HAHN has pushed 400hp+ on their dyno on a 2.4 solstice. Yes...it can be done. Granted, its on the verge of catastrophic disaster. But still..it took it.

My return will be going towards the ZZP Turbo kit. And yes, there will be a thread as soon as the fun begins.

im not doubting you im starting a build on my 2.2 and i just wouldnt want to see you blow it over a few pistons and rods

the 2.4's powdered steel rods will not handle that stress for long. the cast pistons have been known to take abuse if you keep knock at bay and dont run too lean. the last spec sheet i saw, the rods were rated to 250hp

Where did you read that? Everything I've seen shows that the LE5's internals are good to low-mid 300's and 8 psi or more. People push 360 hp through the Solstice/Sky LE5 with Hahn's S3 kit.

i really doubt the powdered steel rods are rated that high. remember just because we can go that high doesnt mean its rated for safety at that high of a power level. lol. and i can assure you none of the pistons in these cars are meant to go past 300hp
