I have gone 130mph (GPS) on flat ground in my 2.4 with only suspension modded. I did have a flying start and about 2 miles off flat straight road. The gauges said just a bit under 130mph but i was watching the road i couldn't tell you how fast.

i got a G5 GT and i did 130MPH at 6500rpm in 4th gear before i let off, and at the time my car just had the GMP air intake and the GMP cat-back. my friend was in the car and seen it too. im not sure if pontiac is any different but iv heard that it will top out at 137. And actualy it ist to bad accelerating until you hit about 120MPH. However there was almost no wind resistence and i was on a streight highway in pittsburgh. I think it was like the 270 or something.

 

i wonder why the limiters are set so low...in my sc ive almost been to 160 i dont think it even has a limiter

Yea I don't think the sc has a limiter cause I gone to 160 and maybe a bit more and I think read somewhere that it does not have one cause of the tires or something lol

i only hit 197KM/H my ion 3 (2.4l) and it wouldnt go any faster if i remember correctly

 

i broke the land speed record in my 2.4 but i had exhuast and intake.

 

hey guys i just got my car up to 200mph..yeah dont ask me how i did it..but yeah idid..lol..cmon guys stock the 2.4 can only get up to 129..and if ur going that fast and ur def on street and not the track...dont be a jerk and drive like a *******.

Not entirely familiar with the ION3... that limit must be for tires.

So... you're claiming that you did 130 mph "going down a mountain"? I wish, for your sake, that your mom had smoked less crack.

You do have an electronic limiter in your SC - it is 158 mph. Hardly slow... more than enough to kill yourself.

wikipedia is not entirely 100% always accurate. Anyways i wonder if the G5 GT's limiter is different or something cuz i did 130 and it didt even cut off when i hit it. Also my freind has the 2.2L and his doest stop at 110. It stopped at 105. But now that its tuned hes done 120 so far.

 

It is in this case since I'm the one that made that template, those numbers are proven by HP Tuners. Why is it usually 2.4 and 2.2 owners who are in denial of a speed limiter?

your an idiot i witnessed it as well as my friend who was in my passenger seat looking at it. I just said i have a pontiac. Maybe their is a difference in the computer. Still GM yes but 2 different companies.
