Traction Control

Has anybody been having problems with the traction control system on the 2.4 automatic. Every once in a while my trac light is coming on and the car is shifting really hard. Hard enough to chirp through each gear...... Lemme know if you have had the same stuff goin on. Thanks

Have not had that problem yet, with my car that is.

The wife decided to get in to an accident the other day ( $9000 so far, thank god for insurance). But her's wasn't doing it either.

when i lose tractipn and it comes into play the light doesnt come on it just says low traction in the DIC, what we are saying is that for an extended period of time the t/c yellow light on the gauge display comes on and the shifts get hard and the car gets faster

I would be willing to bet that you guys have a loose fuse or wire under the hood.

Mine did the exact same thing when I went to take initial delivery at the dealership. It turns out the mechanic accidently bumped a fuse loose when removing the on-lot security system that all the cars at the dealer are equipped with.

The T/C Light stayed on... and it shifted really hard.

i'll have to look into the fuse thing. do you know if it is in the regular fuse block under the hood or somewhere special. maybe the dumbasses that put my remote start on f-ed something up....thanks for the replies everyone, this site is the greatest for good responses.

I just had this same problem. I don't know if this has anything to do with it ,but I went though the car wash and the TC light came on and shifted hard. When I woke up the next morning and was off. I thought I maybe got a sensor wet.

I'm having the same problem now.....traction light comes on and car shifts really hard. Dealership can't find a problem because it doesn't throw a code

werd

It happened to my gf's car right after we installed the AEM Cold Air Intake with a dry-flo filter.

I get a CEL and also get the TC light from time to time. When its on, it shifts really hard and kinda worries me. i don't want to be driving one day and have the tranny fall to the ****** floor like a dead hooker.

check your ebrake..

i know if you pull it a few clicks, it turns off your TC.

this may sound crazy but check your MAF sensor.. i did a small test, i unplugged it from the intake and my t/c off light was on and the car shifted like crap.. i put the sensor back on and it was fine... why does the MAF have anything to do with the t/c i have no idea.
