No CEL

okay i think that i might have figured something out but if this sounds completely off the wall then please correct me. my cel came on last night after running my car really hard at the track and i figured it was something to do with the intake. it really pissed me off and i tried a few things to try and get it to go off last night but nothing worked. when i woke up this morning i thought hey maybe if i disconect the battery it will go off because it will reset everything and it worked so maybe if everyone who has their cel on disconnects their battery for a while the light will go off.

Maybe not, try using Blue Shower ( Electrical Contact Cleaner ) on the wires before buying a new one....also, guys have used a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to remove the oil from the wires. When using the q-tip you need to use as little pressure as possible on the wires...do a search on the net and you'll find plenty info on this.

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't, there's times you'll need an OBDII system tester to turn off the cel...if there's a problem the cel will come back on ASAP.
