Turbo 2.4L Custom
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls.
So I spend a decent amount of time on the forums reading, even though I dont post much (it was broken for awhile).
So, As I read what all of you dream, a Turbo Charger, or Supercharger on the famous 2.4L SS engine.
Last night while cruising state street (in ut), i met some guys, he works for a performance shop. We all goto the shop, its brand new. I talk to the owner, and i show him the car.
The Conclusion: A 16G Turbo, with the custom tubing.
When work begins, I will definately include pictures.

If you're going with a 16G, you're going to need a manifold that matches up with the flange of the turbo. Contact Ryne @ Team Vision Racing (http://www.ryne.com/storefront) and he will be able to get you an ECOTEC manifold for you from Hahn.
Are you getting a 16G or Super 16G?
If you're going to go the custom route, read this write up:
How To: Build your own ECOTEC Turbo Kit
If you need any help as far as what parts to get or what certain things do or you just plainly don't understand something, feel free to contact me private or on the forum in my signature. Good luck.

Not to sound Negative but Hahn does not have any programming for the 2.4, their Solstice kit uses Vector Motorsports.
BUT Westers has a plug and play tune, and HP Tuner's software works with all Ecotec platforms(2.2,2.0 and 2.4)
So defintely some options out there

Still, the Westers garage flash I don't think has a profile for a boosted 2.4.

Uhm yes it does support the the 2.4, I have HP Tuners software and it supports my vin just fine(side note it is still BETA testing and not a final release and there is no adjustments for the VVT(no way of adjust the cam phase) And I'm pretty sure mine is a cobalt, since it does have the Cobalt badge and a 2.4 Ecotec under the hood
Edit:
And no Lyndon does not have a profile for a boosted 2.4 but if you have a boosted 2.4 he could do it since he already does baseline versions. If you can do a baseline tune, you can do forced induction too, it's not a big deal. I've just yet to see any boosted 2.4 Ecotec Cobalts yet, course I would guesstimate that 80% of the 2.4s I see are HHRs or Solstices anyways

i personaly have gotten the turbonator system, which actualy increased my hp gain of 20hp.
and i have premium fuel ionizers which also gave me a gain of about another 20hp.
my car, as says the dyno said 210hp.
as for the earlier question, yes the guy does have a dyno. i plan on including pictures from all of that crap.
and from a earlier question, im considering just the 16G, but depending on what we decide, a super 16g might not be bad as well.
im tryin to get him to pretty much make it, then make kits available for the cars. hes at the point to where he can actualy do it, he has a manual tube bender which he plans on using to actualy do all that ****, then he also has an automated tube bender which would be used for the kits.
i'll definately be posting some pics of install, fitting, what mods are required to get it all to fit (if any), and some dyno run times.
