turbo the malibu?

so my mom has her 2009 Malibu LT with the 2.4 in it....

after dad selling the Monte Carlo SS with the LS4, he needs something a little faster to daily drive

he is debating whether to turbo it or supercharge it

i told him i would look into it for him.... so here i am

would the zzp 2.4 turbo kit work? custom charge piping might or might not be needed considering he would use the non-intercooled kit for simplicity... and for the fact that were not looking for a 12 second car here... ****, 14s would be fine

as for supercharging it, im sure that there would require more custom work than the zzp turbo kit

what is everyones opinion on this?

all help is welcome

btw, heres how it sits now after swapping the Monte Carlos old rims to it... up next is limo tint and blacked out emblems and tinted tails

tell him he should have bought the LTZ with the V6 in it :P naw but in all seriousness i don't know i would think that it could easily be done .. just not sure how the engine was designed compared to other 2.4's and whether or not it could take the increase in power without hurting it.

as far as i know its the same engine

the only thing i can see that would be different is tuning for the 6 speed automatic

and we traded in our 03 trailblazer with a blown engine, 60k miles..... other wise we would have still had the trailblazer

Custom piping and tune and it will be fine seeing as it uses the same engine. I'm sure someone is going to tell you to get the intercooler just to be safe.
