hater:
A person that simply cannot be happy for another person's success. So rather than be happy they make a point of exposing a flaw in that person.
Hating, the result of being a hater, is not exactly jealousy. The hater doesnt really want to be the person he or she hates, rather the hater wants to knock somelse down a notch.
Example-
Susan: You know, Kevin from accounting is doing very well. He just bought a house in a very nice part of town.
Jane (hater): If he is doing so well why does he drive that '89 Taurus?

Jane produced a valid statement. Susan instead of accepting the truth of Jane, used the word hater because she could not accept the fact that Jane is right. Susan now looks like a tool because she is openly did not want to admit that Jane is right which gave her a slight boost in confidence because she now feels like she covered up the fact that Jane was right.
My definition is a lot more true to the story.

i sense a new thread in about a months time claiming how he blew his motor up boosting a TVS on stock compression.
then how he pulled out his glock and popped a few caps in the block to lower the compression a bit.
