What Is The Best Air Intake?

What is the best air intake out there right now for my 2.4L ss sedan, i kind of like the Injen intake but the new K & N claims the highest horsepower at 16HP for a pretty price. I just like the look better of the Injen, add some color under the hood for some shows, instead of the plain black K & N look. if there is a better one then these two, please let me know, thanks.

A intake is a intake.

It's a aluminum tube, a filter and a couple of clamps with couplers. There isn't any special technology that goes into it...

On a 4 cylinder car like yours, don't expect too much from it but you'll probably notice a slight difference.

an intake may be an intake but there are slight differences in the models. some are a lot louder than others, some are made differently. they do the same thing, yes, however, there is a lot more to consider than just an intake is an intake.

some sounds are more deeper. k&n is a good one if you're looking for deep sound.

I would advise against using the filter that comes with the K&N just because the MAF sensor is a bitch and is very touchy to oiled filters other than that the fujita for the 2.2/2.4 uses the stock elbow...which is kinda gay to me...AEM, GMPP, Injen, Rebel Auto Works, any of those IMHO

Sound has to do with

1. The pipe diameter
2. The type of filter
3. The engine it's on

That's it.

Overall, they generally sound the same.

i just looked on crateenginedepot.com and did not see the GM air intake, the only thing i saw was an upgrade for 2.2 to the 2.4 intake manifold kit, no CAI system.

IMO.... get the injen... its worth it and k&n well everyone has one... from civics to trucks... not EVERYONE has an injen... its easy to put on...

OH and BTW the 16 HP gain is for the 2.0 s/c engine.. you wont gain 16 hp from an intake.. more like 5-10...

This one is the best. Its only $85 and it does the exact same thing as every other over priced intake. Trust me, I have this exact one

I just got my Typhoon intake today for my g5 gt. I just wanna ask you how long have you had your k/n intake for. I curious because i don't wanna use the oiled filter if its gonna screw up my maf sensor.

i would say yes to the injen but the problem is that nasty bend (elbow) just be for the intake manifold. the K&N is much smoother (bends) and constant size tubing thus allowing better air flow and more power. the worst one my far is the WR intake. that have a sharp 90 degree turn. just look at them

INJEN

K&N

WR
