All of those stores will carry some throttle body cleaner spay of one kind or another. For the most patr it's all the same. It's $8.99 a can at my Canadian Tire. Price may vary on the other side of the country.
Give the monkey at the Canadian Tire parts counter this product number 38-0781-2 and tell them to get it for you

I use electrical/brake cleaner (not the water solvent variety!)...leaves no residue. I remove the TB and clean it -- and do not spray around the throttle shaft into the bushings. When done cleaning I use some "Mothers" aluminum polish to make the inside look like glass.

Everything is connected properly. I double checked. I just drove 150 km and its still doing the same thing.
So I just pulled over. Put the car in park and the idle went up to 1500. Put it in reverse and back to park. The rpm dropped down to about 900.

The high idle makes no sense...did you remove your TB to clean it? If so, take a look at all the intake connections -- seals installed correctly? there are no vacuum lines you have to remove to take off the TB so that shouldn't be the problem. Considering that the idle settles down after tranny selection should indicate you didn't mess something up (gasket wise) otherwise it wouldn't correct itself. Have you performed an "erase" through the OBDII port to reset all the learn values? I would try that -- and check for any stored DTCs. Also check your electrical connector -- look at the pins carefully to make sure none are bent.

So you did not take off the TB or disconnect the wire connector...that leaves the MAF, Intake tube sealing, and the PCV tube. All those are sealed properly?
Did you spray into the TB while the engine was running or stopped? What did you use?

I used the part number above. With the engine running, as I was spraying I had someone going back and forth gently on the gas pedal so it would not die out just as the instructions said.
My intake is custom and the maf sensor is in with sealent. That was done last night.
