Well I think if you wanted the kit you could call him and get it. the twin charge kit was written about in HCI Magazine and stated it is available and it put out 400HP (Give or take a bit). no price tag was given.

I starting to get brave. I want the kit and I am willing to see how the motor holds up. LOL if I get 60,000 miles out of it I would say that is not bad. LOL

I speak with Bill over the phone occasionally. He calls me to ask about developments here on the board. Most recently concerning the Garrett kit release. Very interesting conversation actually. Anyway, he shared his up coming retail releases with me. I asked if I could speak of them on the board and said no. He would like to announce them himself when he is ready.

I think '07 is going to be a great year for the COBALTS (SS/SC, SS, and 2.2's). there will many victims. Many v-8 and honda owners will be having sleepless nights.

a turbo 2.4 will most likely hang with a slightly modded ss-sc imo

It would kill a SS/SC, think about it. More hp comes from turbos and our engine is bigger to start with, I think it would be the equivalent of a Stage 2 on a SS/SC if not better.

The honda owners already have sleepless nights even with our 2.2's. As for the new SI's I've only seen like 4-5 ever since it's came out. Did you know that the SS/SC has the saem horsepower to weight ratio as a 'Vette? Well it does and a stage 1-2 will kick the **** out of one. So basically we already killl hondas and V-8's but I see where you're taking this and yes we will annihilate with the turbo and the Evo and WRX better watch out because it will give us a higher horsepower to weight ratio than them, that's when people will hopefully start to show the respect the Cobalt's deserve like those 2 have been holding.

please please please what hondas are you talking about? stock EG civics? good god bc there are a **** load of fast hondas and i dont see many, **** practically no fast 2.2 cobalts.. but yea hondas are shanking in their boots.

take a k20 and bolt a intake and exhaust and tune and ur right at ss s/c territory.... waht 2.2 cobalt is taking that. or how bout those "POS" EG civics (92-95) wit a b18 vtec. those thinggs weigh anywhere from 2200-2500 lbs. and can easily put out 180whp with 2 mods and a tune.

please stop talking like the cobalt is the end all of automobiles

same hp to weight as the vette? ok. lets go by whp to weight

cobalt (averaging 215whp and 2900 lbs) every whp has to move 13.488 lbs
vette (averaging 340whp--thats going by 15% drivetrain loss and it not being underrated [note sure], and 3100 lbs) every whp has to move 9.118 lbs

real close let me tell u.

we do not annihilate hondas and v8's.. for every cobalt that can beat a v8 there are tons of v8s that will kill our fastest cobalt.

evos and wrxs are proven platforms and are very popular. they have been pushed far more farther than any of our cars.

i love my cobalt but its attitudes like this that contribute to the lack of respect our cars see.. when i run wit some1 and they ask about my car, im respectful to them and regarding their car, and they show me it back, usually very pleasantly surprised about what my car can do.

why can u say, damn i cant wait till they release the turbo kit for my car. then i can reach my goals for my car.. not every other car suks and will bow down to my cobalt

But the Evo and STi will still have AWD. AWD > FWD off the line.

I'm not even going turbo. I'm just saying that there are endless possibilities with the Cobalt as with any car and with the proper amount of money someone could go beyond the performance of other vehicles. Me, I'm going to do everything possible for hp/tq without going F/I, although I am very interested to see what they can do and the production of the turbo for our 2.4 I can't wait to see.

He's still into boosting horsepower, even if he isn't using boost to get the boost.

Get it?
