the redline on the SS is 6750 (a few have raised it) the redline on the S/C SS is 6450rpm. YOu can't really say SS and mean S/C SS anymore.

right when my shiftlight comes on. 6200 possibly more by the time i react to it. in first in second if you go up like 4000 and then mash it to the floor you will SMOKE the tires. i cant really lay into my car until 3rd.

Or he has an automatic. Ultimatley it will decided when it shifts--and at 6500rpm is likely right.
In anny case that does not change WHAT the redline is.
It is 6750rpm. I have hit the 6800rpm fuel shut off too many times.
Rpms are marked off by 500 rpm increments--i but when the display goes over 6500rpm---it has 250rpm increments and is halfway to 7000rpm.

We recommend customers with our tune shift at 7000 to take advantage of the fact it's still pulling up there it also the fact it will drop the engine back further into it's powerband.

You may think your car is actually hitting more than the 6750 rpm limit, but it's not. Your tach is just way off the actual mark. Mine is the same way, I shift it at around 6700 on the tach but I know that it's really only doing 6400 revs or so.
