Whats the best size Header primaries for 2.4l?

Im selling my used header and dp because there cracked. So i was looking into getting the zzp midlength header/dp combo. Whats the best size primaries for our cars, 2.4l ss/na? Also, they offer coatings in high temp paint, mid grade steel and stainless steel. I'm sort of on a budget, so do you guys think the high temp paint would be ok?
-Thanks,
Justin

you dont want them, i shouldent of even posted that i am selling them...Im getting a re-fund from the person i got them from. I bought them together for $225. It was too good to be true and i was an idiot, lol. Save your money for the vibrant header/dp combo or zzp...

Anyone have an answer for my post?? Ill prob buy the zzp header/dp this weekend, just need to kno what the best size primaries are..?

Smaller diameter and longer for low end / mid range, bigger diameter and shorter if all you care about is "top of the tach" power.

4-2-1 type headers can give a good compromise between top end and mid range power.

Like Brickerenator ^^^^ points out, 1.75" primaries are overkill on a non boosted 2.4, you will likely end up with less power down low than the stock manifold.....

awsome, thanks guys. Looks like ill be going with the 1.5's.

Is the high temp paint ok? I kno the mild steele and stainless are better choices, but im on a budget...would the high temp paint last a year??

i've had the high temp painted combo on my 2.4 for a year now.

no issues, other than getting only one o2 sensor extension cable, when I needed 2. And when I ordered a second cable extension (specified front sensor), they sent me a rear one.

Yes its overkill i got my header from clearimage auto for my g5 gt and I got 1.5 primarys thats all you need and plus go with a 2.5 inch downpipe. Anything larger then that you will lose power like others have stated already. And if you got the extra cash then definetly get them ceramic coated the only reason i didnt do that with mine is because i dont worry about driving my car in the winter because i got a winter beater.
