each has their own pros and cons, i find turbos to be more efficent myself, but to each their own.

nope, you guys are all wrong.....open TB ftw! save you 250 bucks too

anyhow i'll take SRI over CAI everytime because it's easy to install and with heatshield it performs well enough

Turbo's are much more effecient and don't get near as hot! Downside too big you get lag!

Superchargers are instant boost, some are very ineficient (ie: HHeaton), downside HEAT!

They both have their roles.... Most dragsters use a GIANT twinscrew style... for instant boost!

I've had both and like both... but have their respective roles depending on what you want as an owner!

There wont' be a GIANT difference between CAI or SRI... the biggest difference will be your IATs... which that is where the 1 maybe 2 hp differene will be!

BEST intake option ITBs end of story!

K&N FTW

i owned a fujita CAI. The sound level between the two were significantly different. I didnt notice any significant difference in power or engine temperatures. I always run around 189 to 205 F

i think turbos get hotter than superchargers.ive seen some turbos red hot like they were about to melt(after a long time running of course) then sts came out with there remote mount setup or rear mount how ever you wanna call it.i could be wrong but ive never seen any blower get red hot.

Short Ram Will Give You More Torgue As A Full Cold Air Will Give Better Hp, On A Low Displacement Motor It Will Not Make Ah Huge Differance

The best air intake is a hood scoop fed sri IMHO but you know it all depends on how they duct it and if its properly sealed ect..

it comes oiled. mine is oiled and ive had it on ther for about 20000 miles. No CEL or problems with the MAF. THe oil is there for a reason, so i suggest putting it on. Plus ive read posts that if oil does get on the MAF, just to take something like carb or injector cleaner and spray the oil off the MAF. Let me tell you that it is a pain in the ass to clean the filter, Although its cool to watch the dirt wash away,

Well the oil attracts the particals that stick to the cotton gaus between thblack mesh. If you don't clean and oil the filter eventually it will plug up like any other filter. If you clean it and don't oil it its filtration qualitys suck. The sensor goes to whack when you OVER oil it. After the fist cleaning the filter will never look that Red again instead it kinda turns a lighter pink.

actually the oil keeps the dirt from getting into the intake.they use a cotton fiber material and the oil helps filter so if you dont oil it you might get debri in the intake..i have the k&n on mine and i oil it very heavily and never had a problem.and by any chance the oil does get on the maf. go to autozone and get a can of maf cleaner.
