why is our car so hard to make faster.

it seems like our car is very speed challenged. i bought the 2.4/auto to hopefully give me more options. the auto's power handling ability. but it looks like if i want to get serious about this ill have to talk to mr. hahn.

well, it IS an auto. and for under 20k i hope you didnt expect a z06...
but i get where your coming from. its expensive, its not a civic.

i come from a world where $1500 will get you into 13's, i need about $4000 to do that, it could be worse. could be a bmw

a well spend $1500 could probably get you 12's in the 2.0

frankly the 2.4 auto was made when it was the only ss i could find within 50 miles. i just want more aftermarket 2.0 guys just get all the love i think.

I think the issue is you want it to be easy. in which case its not too late to trade in for that civic si.

seriously tho. Multiple 2.4's have hit 260hp+, its just a matter of time and money.

the car is expensive to mod since its newer and aftermarket companies tend to do more for imports and that gives them a lower price range.

full bolt ons a tune and a 75 shot will get you there and for about 2.5 K

intake 60-300
header dp 600
catback 500
tb 80 (port it yourself)
tune 250-400
nitrous setup 500-900

13:1 compression pistons - 500, forged rods - 600. Self ported and polished head - 100. Cut off the exhaust 55 for a cheap electric saws-all. The look on your face when the pistons smash into the valves and you realize you should have done the math on compression ratio more carefully - priceless.

lol. seriously. it doesn't cost ALOT to go fast. takes some research and ingenuity. Most of that research and ingenuity has been done before so alot of your work is cut out.
