Will 2.0 SC fit 2.4 engine?
I hope this hasn't been asked yet, but will the SC from the 2.0 engines bolt onto the 2.4 engines? I've got a buddy that says he thinks like it'll match up, but I'm looking for a more certain answer.
If yes, then the next question would be, is it worth it?

That's just my thing, I have used the search feature. Quite intensively at that, even before making this thread. Everything I find (on this forum) is people asking if they should "upgrade" to a 2.0L SC from their 2.4s or aftermarket SCs from companies other than Chevy.
I'm sorry to push the issue, and I know I'm a n00b to this forum and car modding in general, but if you know the answer, or know exactly where I can find the answer, please let me know, because I've used the search feature and it's not working out for me.

I say, yes. Or if you don't want to deal with the swap, spend the amount of money you were planing on useing to buy and swap for the 2.0 s/c, and dump it in to your engine you have already. Mabey?

I see your from San Antonio finally someone else lol. Hey if your not doing anything tonight me and a couple of guys meet out at Topperwein and I35 N pull into the Whataburger and you should see us I have a black 2.4SS and I hang out with a bunch of guys with cavaliers. We usually get out there around 8:30 and stay for a long time.

IonNinja, I'm gonna use your post as a "in your face" of sorts to those guys who were telling me I should delete my thread, so I thank you for that as well as your information.

Yes, it will fit inside the engine bay fine.
The problem you're going to be facing isn't fitment issues...it's going to be money. If you buy the motor and supercharger from GM...it's going to run you around $4,500 (2.0 S/C Crate Engine) or if you happen to find a wrecked Cobalt SS/SC, you might be able to get it for cheaper.
Another thing is that you're going to atleast need another PCM, the PCM that comes with the Cobalt SS/SC or Redline.
On top of the parts you'll need, you'll probably be paying someone to do the swap and wiring for you...that's gonna cost a good chunk of change for labor as well.
This could easily be a $5000+ project depending on how you do it. Now, in a real life perspective, is $5000 worth it for a 40 HP gain?

ghost you have the 2.4 it is generally suited for turbos as are most 2.4s' you should be looking at some of the turbo applications comming out for our engines soon from hahn racecraft etc.. you could expect around 260hp in terms of gains. superchargers are geared towards lower compression engines.

@NJHK, I wasn't proposing a full motor swap, just if the SC that is on the 2.0 would bolt onto the 2.4 or if that's even possible or whatever.
@g5mike, thanks for the info about turbos. Honestly, I'm just getting a feel for different mods I could potentially do, window shopping, if you will. When I get more serious about doing a performance mod, I'll get a lot more information.

Actually, FORCED INDUCTION is generally geared towards lower compression engines, not just superchargers. Lower compression = more boost = more power.
