Wiring Diagram for using LSJ TB on 2.4

I want to give a little shout out to Jim for helping me figure out this mess, but we've done it. This is mainly for the guys who are running the stock throttle body on their supercharged 2.4's that want to up to the larger stock lsj tb, however it may be possible one of you N/A 2.4's can fabricate some sort of mount for the LSJ TB on the stock intake manifold.

Wiring up the LSJ Throttle Body:

The following wires need to be swapped:
Yellow <--> Brown
Tan <--> Dark Grey
Blue w/ Black Stripe <--> Tan w/ White Stripe

The green and purple wires remain untouched.
There are two tan wires, however if you look closely one has a white stripe its pretty difficult to see.

The larger throttle body needs to be tuned with HPTuners. It threw off my entire A/F by about 1.0 leaner.
Note that I am also throwing the P2101 Code (which is a common code to see after porting a tb etc. This code can be disabled via hp tuners since it does not affect performance whatsoever)

You didn't get a chance to measure the difference in size did you Beck?

Any numbers on the supercharged Beck? What about if we were non-supercharged would this be worth it?

i dont have any numbers yet, my clutch comes soon and as soon as that is installed i can get an accurate dyno. As far as a non supercharged cobalt, i have no idea on the gains, we need someone to pioneer it

I measured with a dial caliper, and it was just over .300 of an inch larger than the 2.4L

IMHO if the 2.0 needs that much air coming into the T/B a 2.4 would need at least that much.

I might just have to be a pioneer.

I'll put the LSJ injectors on at the same time as the LSJ throttle body just so I can get that tuned as well as I haven't been tuned since I threw on my ZZP header/dp.

just curious what would or could happen, if you put the LSJ injectors, and LSJ TB on without a tune? or just the injectors without the tune?

Well as soon as I put it on there, I would be driving 40 minutes to my tune shop so hopefully it would last that long.

I would not do that. Wait till you get to the tune shop and install the injectors there. Same with the TB.

do as the above says...i dont think the TB will be that big of an issue as long as you keep the RPMs/engine load low. no more than half throttle. however, i would never change injector size and then drive without a tune...ever
install the injectors at the shop....and if your going supercharged, youll need bigger injectors than the LSJ has...42LBers atleast

you need a tune no questions asked. for both items. you wont even be able to drive it with it untuned. a throttlebody is easy to switch i'd drive to your tuner and then just put it on there.

Hell yeah, that saves me an assload of trouble. So you think I can put on the injectors and TB at a gas station and then get it tuned around the corner?
