Wiring Diagram for using LSJ TB on 2.4
#52
This is an old thread and it needs to be said the wiring diagram provided most likely will not work on 08 2.4s.
And at last word ZZP said their 2.4 wiring harness and adapter plate didnt work for 08 2.4s either.

What he said. You can just rewire it but the wiring would be different from whats been posted to my knowledge. Though ZZP may have something for the 08s now due to their sc release recently which uses the LSJ throttle body. And it shows availbility for 08s.

tb could be worth it if you have a 3'' intake; i personally have one (Rebel 3'' intake, LSJ TB + ZZP adaptor plate, full exhaust) and I like it
I had to get retuned to prevent my car from idling at 2000 RPM though

i think i will contact zzp and ask them if they sell the harness alone for lsj tb to le5...
bcause they have the harness when you buy the adapter for the 2.4 manifold for the lsj tb they come with the harness

I just want to clarify really quick..
To swap the LSJ throttle Body for the LE5 throttle body, in
2005 and 2006 LE5 Throttle Bodies have 8 pins, and need to be converted to the 8 pins of the LSJ
whereas
2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 LE5 Throttle Bodies have 6 pins, and need to be converted to the 8 pins of the LSJ
Is the above correct?

Well the thing is, I'm trying to avoid buying a $39.99 wiring harness if I don't have to.. Maybe this is a stupid question, but would I just be able to cut, splice, connect the wires together, tape and insulate with vaccuum hosing?

Cut wires, strip back, tin exposed wire, slide heat shrink over wire, strip wire on other side, tin, heat up both tinned wires, make sure no excessive solder exists, lightly tug on wires to verify proper joint connection, slide heat shrink over exposed joint, heat, the end. move on to next wire
