would i need to tune?

i decide i am going to go all engine in my car such i dont know a thing about superchargers and turbos. these are the mods i am planning on doing.
1. 33# injectors
2. K&N intake or weapon R (i dont know which one i like better)
3. JBP Vortex T304 Stainless 4-1 Header
4. 3" straight pipe
5. ZZ Performance Throttlebody adapter plate idk if should get and LSJ one OR LS4 what do you guys think about it?
6. Clutch Kits

Supercharging or turboing a car is really simple to do, but if your really not comfortable with it stat na. Maybe even run you some nitrous that would make it a lot funnier.

umm ya dnt need a 3 inch exhuast, unless u want to be heard a mile away. and ur mod list well could use some work, idk wht ur plans are but IMO u should do alot more research. cuase it seems like ur interested in modifying but ya dont quite kno wht ur doing yet. no disrespect, we've all been there, but before u go blowing money spend the time reading and do it right.

Its not "simple" to do. there are always complications and problems. nothing is easy, especially on a money pits "cars"

umm well how i look at a build is, What do u want as a final outcome? What is going to make u happy everytime u get in the driver seat, What is gonna make u feel good everytime u look at ur car?

If ya buy a CAI and u want to go turbo... now u cant use that CAI u just bought for 200 bucks... or that header u just spent 300 or more on... or u go supercharged.. and IMO cooling mods are thee most important and they come first, others will tell u no. well iv been down that road and i broken and melted just about everything in these motors. Heat is thee enemy. But if i were u id spend sometime and really think what it is u want to do. Look at other peoples work and take there ideas and change them and make them ur own. just like i did, mine is very different and all custom and rare. luckly for u, there is an entire list of **** to do to these cars now, and all the fails and all the success stories to go by and learn from. ya need help i can guide u but remember "It Pays to Play"

IMO = in my opinion.

To get 400whp, yes, you need a turbo.

Normal operating temp is around 189.

You can use a header on a supercharged motor, but you can't use a CAI made for the 2.4 if you go supercharged if I recall correctly. I think the inlet gets flipped to the other side of the car.

If u can get the zzp SC kit u can get a intake. If u piece it together u can put a CAI cause I have one. I'm supercharged. And I love it! Right now I'm running 2 psi and I think the blower is bad. But even with that its still quick. U can put everything on ur 2.4 just like they said do research. But to me it was worth it.

If you keep the boost low, its very dependable with a good tune man. And you are not going to get 300whp with bolt ons. Not gonna happen.

I'm gonna dyno around the end of the month so can't say. Also gonna get 3"header exhaust from zzp so I will be around the numbers I said. I use 91 right u don't have to go up til u go stage 2. I'm in Denver so it's different. Look on zzperformance.com look at their kits alot of questions are answered on their website. Also u can email them their knowledge. Is amazing.

no problem also to clarify... if u piece ur supercharger together and dont get a kit for it... u will have to get the 2.0 LSJ CAI cause it does get flipped. If u get the zzp kit it says on their website that it wont be a issue.

im also wondering why he is saying to lose the header... There shouldnt be a issue....

Im just saying to lose the JBP. Go with one of zzp headers. I tried to get the JBP noodle header to fit on my car and it was beyond a headache and once it was all torqued down it caused the coolant crossover pipe to leak. Not to mention with that particular header its well known that it pretty much just changes the sound and doesnt add too much power. Especially in supercharged applications. If your on a budget go with the badmab header. if you can afford more go with the zzp longtube,

Lol nothing is easy everyone makes is sound like it's so hard and it only takes a pro to do it. I guess it might be simple for some and most just think it's the end if the world to change there plugs lol. Guess we should say don't ever work on your own car only let the guy with a piece a paper work on your car. But to the one with the thread just make sure you do some looking around and find the answers you need.

it is a pain especially if u are piecing it together... but like u said just look for the answers and get everything u checked off before u start and find a person who can tune ur car...if u dont want the hassle of piecing ur car get the kit... but if u really want to do this no matter of how much the pain u will reap the benefits.

Quick Reply: would i need to tune?
