Dude at work just bought a 2006 Colorado Xtreme. It has the inline 5 cylinder and its got a 5 speed as well. Anybody ever tango with one of these things, i dont think i would have much of a problem with it since its is a truck, but it does claim around 220 hp at the crank. Im guessing that since it is a truck its fairly heavy. Think he can take me? Give me your ideas guys.

 

I would guess the colorado would be a low 16 second high 15 second truck....you should have no problem

 

trucks are fun... a tall rear and lots of torque can make them pretty quick... buuuut... wheelspin, weight and wide gears usually slow them down soon.

I would guess, with my crystal ball 1/4 mile, that he would rock you on the 60 foot with you passing him by the 1/8th.

 

whats the rated hp/tq on those?

 

Theres a guy that I've seen at the track with one of those. It's heavily modded and its hitting low 13s and sometimes high 12.

 

I had one, it was 225hp and 225tq. mine was and 04, the 07s have about 247 and 240. the extremes can be pretty quick, watch out because there are a couple of turbo kits and procharger kits out there for them. but if its stock you really shouldnt have a problom at all.
