what would be the difference between the hahn turbo for the 2.4 and one of these everyday turbos u see on ebay that go for like 800 bucks ..granted i can see parts being cheaper and getting less power..i have a 06 cobalt ss with the 2.4 n/a ..and i want to get up to like 250..260 whp ..what would be the cheapest build that wouldnt blow up..(shes a baby only 45k on the clock)

 

the diffrence is:

one is made by hahn, which is known for its high quality parts.

the other is made by hasbro or mattel.

 

what would one of those turbos do to my engine? in other words would my engine blow up in 6 months or would i just not get as much power?

 

they are just piece of crap parts that will break in no time. that turbo will blow its seals and burn oil all over the place. do it right or don't do it at all

 

If anything the parts that you bought from ebay would blow up, if your goal is only 250-260 I'd just supercharge it, you can't find those kits cheap as *****

 

yeah good point ...what engine mods would i have to do for the supercharger because arent the ones im going to find going to be built for the 2.0 engines?

 

One of the locals around here has the hahn stage 5 kit. He hates it..He would like to change almost everything about it hahaha. Don't buy either, do the research/put the time in to designing your own.


EDIT: Look at my sig "2.2 build logs". Whether you decide to turbo or supercharge pretty much everything will still apply to you.

go zzp is cheaper and turbo stage 2 will put you right at that level. with no other supporting mod lol
