edit.. mines a dd too, but im graduating from college in december. Im lookin to pick up a sky redline next yr or another nice dd..so the balt can be the weekend fun
You think it'd be the other way around.........meaning the RWD turbocharged convertible would be the weekend fun car whereas the FWD n/a car would be the dd.

But yeah, i'm gonna try to pickup a busted ass dd here soon. Nothing fancy. Something under $1,000. I found a pink '93 1.0 liter 3-cyl Geo Metro convertible I want. I'm not kidding, lol.

i eventually wanna do some crazy things to the cobalt as far as rebuilding the motor and either high boost or spray it like crazy.. i want a sleek car that feels as good as it looks, which is why i would make the sky the dd.. cobalts need to be dropped, sky's dont. and once u drop it u lose that comfortability..idk if im making sense but who knows i may make the sky the track car lol we'll see when i get it.

I wanna see how this goes with the cams. If I get through all the issues then I might just have to pick up a set. Hopefully I can improve on my 14.83 this year. Someone beat it so I want to go to the track again.

if these cams put down wut im expecting, and i DONT beat that.. im done with modding if i can get around 210 whp..i have no excuse to not be hitting low 14s

Haha yea and by all means I hope you beat that time. I just wanna see some more being done with the 2.4 balts. and the N/A route is definitely a path that not to many people have gone down.

thank u sir..the only problem is i know ill hit that plateau...and im either goin s/c or spray.. im leaning toward spray, cuz almost every car in my car club is boosted.. i wanna do something different.. vulcan intake mani and a 75 shot will put me up to the top if i can pull out that 210whp im lookin for with the cams. good set of drag radials and ill be in the 12s

edit. yo do u remember wut ur 8th was when u ran that?

it does seem that the cobalt can do more with less HP then most cars.

Yeah same here. I want to dyno mine sometime soon after my next oil change/seafoam session. I have full bolt ons + HP Tuners tuning.......so I am expecting to have very similar numbers to that of redssna.

I dunno........I was thinking PTuning in Manassas.......but they have a heartbreaker dyno......meaning their numbers are usually low.

I can't remember.......which dyno is the one that usually has low numbers.......and which one isn't? (example: Mustang dyno.....what are the other types?)

Yeah those are his numbers with those mods. It was done on a DynoJet. I still think it makes a bit more then what the dyno said judging by cars it has kept up with. Maybe more like 175-180. Just a by the seat of your pants type of feel.

Yeah i'd def be interested. Wanna have a little local dyno day? I'm sure I could get Chase (Bad05SS) and maybe Justin (occsdude) to come out. I know a few guys in Prince William as well. Wouldn't want too many cars....but we could have a mini dyno day. We'd just have to co-ordinate with the dyno facility.

Also, I just looked at your picture gallery and realized who you are. I see your car around Warrenton all the time leaving Lord Fairfax and next to Frost Diner. Not sure if you've ever seen (or heard, lol) me, but i'm in Warrenton all the time. I lived in Gainesville last year, and I moved into my new condo here in Bealeton last month.

Word. Yeah i've been wondering what kinda power my setup made here for a while now. My cars got kinda steep mileage (58k), but it runs fine. I'll just make sure to do a fresh oil change/seafoam it before I put it on the dyno.
