I just put it in tonight and I have noticed better throttle response and I use less peddle to get to speed. Also the exaust has a deeper sound to it. Tomorrow I drive 45 miles to work so Im going to get a really good test. So far as small as it may be I like the difference. The only thing I dont like is the vacuum hose on our manafold has to be installed on the throttlebody. I wasnt prepaired for that as you can see in my pics but an easy fix. Just have to get a vacumm plug tomorrow...

Took the drive to work and what a big difference. I did put it to the test and it i liked it... I made sure to fill the car up and clear the economy reading and so far I have gained 2 mpg then I was. So if your interested then I would take the step in this direction.

Oh and one more thing... The throttle body that you buy from them is not new! It is a used one that I had to clean before install. I wasnt happy about that expecillay since that is never stated on their website. So after bitting my lips and cleaning it I installed it anyways...

Was mainly asking for other members. Im going to be buying the adapter to run the LS4 throttle body on the M62 supercharger. So we will see how an ls4 works on an m62'd LE5

But im glad to see someone post up some impressions of this as I wanted to do it but being an 08 kept me from doing it for a while.

do you have to have the new throttlebody in that position or can it be put on in the direction of the stock le5 throttlebody?

Very good so far, the touchiness is not as bad as some have said, at least to me. I'm getting some rpm surge, but I think my MAF is ready to die and it has nothing to do with the LS4.

I'd add a full 3" CAI, ZZPs does not even come close to fitting an LE5 with the LS4 and adapter (it points the M62 inlet a lot closer to the ABS module).

Not even close, I'd eat off his block before I ate off mine

Winters are tough in Canada, and with all the extra mods I'm leery of a good spray down.

Not to thread jack but which intake did you use? Also what year is your 2.4?
But good to hear! Did you just buy the ls4 tb and adapter from zzp?
I was thinking people said it showed no gains on an LSJ. But on a 2.4 with added displacement and added compression that could be different.

2007, ZZP LS4...they machine them quite nicely and the silicone adapter fits perfect.

You may have just solved my problem.I bought this awile ago and did the install and it ran like crap.so I got online and everybody said that you need a tune for this to work. But I was putting a cap on that vacume inlet on the new tb.I'm going to copy your setup this weekend to see if it works for mine. Also the guys at the GM dealership here said you should be able to plug and play this np. Also my tb was new...Hmmmmm.

Didn't work,I tried everything even uninstalling my jet stage 2 chip and jet maf.I have vibrant header and cat , magnaflow muffler, and a k&n short ram.So my guess is the larger tb went over the limit I can do without a real tune.

Your probably corect. I had a pretty agressive tune on my car pryer the install. So I would venture to say thats why it worked on my car. Now im wondering if I should have it looked at to see if I could get an update on my tune to see if I could gain even more....

I dont know whether they have changed their description meanwhile... But on their homepage now they listed it as NEW. Do you remember whether this has also stood when you bought it ?

On Zzp's site if you go to the le5 throttle body adapter plate there is an option to add a used lsj throttle body.

I just bought one w/ the throttle body and what I got was clean, shiny and had no signs of wear. So far I have seen some better throttle response and possibly a bit more power too.

Btw. Previous mods are a K&N intake and gmpp performance cat back.

Ah yes there is an option. It doesn't say it is used anyway but regarding the lower price it should be possible this way. Thanks!
