ZZP Long tube header package

Strongly considering buying ZZP Long tube header package

Anybody have this product?
Is it worth the money?
If so do you like it? Hate it?
What does everyone think about this?
And does it bolt on easily?

I love mine. 2.2 N/A. I bought mine with cat., bolt-in, and wideband option. It came with everything you need to install. But would recomend new gaskets at the head and the cat. The bolt-in opition necks down to 2.5" I.D.. The only problem I had was to modify the O2 sensor extension provide by ZZP, and I had to cut out about 1-2 inchs from my catback becuase the header push it back. I felt a difference in my low range, mid range, and upper range. I gives a nice deep tone up to about 3500 rpms. Then it is just plain loud.

I went to o-reily's and ordered fel-pro exhaust gasket and fel-pro donut gasket.
Fel-Pro - Exh. Manifold Gasket Set
Part # MS96377
I will get the other Part# later

look at mavens how to. But I had to use a dremel to cut off the inside plastic piece of the 4 prong extension. I used electric spray cleaner to remove any residue. I asume it will fit without a problem on the LSJ. Not sure about the 2.4L.

i put this on my car a couple weeks ago.

LSJ/TVS ZZP long tube header (1.75" primaries), high flow cat, magnaflow resonator, magnaflow muffler. full 3" throughout

YouTube - Tennpenn83's Saturn ION Redline, TVS, ZZP full 3" exhaust

it's as easy to bolt in as any other exhaust. remember to go through the engine bay when putting in the header, it fits easier than going through the bottom. use all new gaskets and bolts if you can.

worth the money? it's a little pricey, but a quality product is not usually cheap. i'd say yeah

it's not too loud or overbearing. idle and cruise is just fine, right where i wanted the sounds to be. WOT is a little loud, but that is expected. no rasp

zzp's exhaust is a clamp in style so you won't need any other gaskets other than the stock exh mani-to-head gasket, from gm. zzp has them listed on their site as well

Have it, full ZZP header w/cat and 3" resonated exhaust.

Sounds like ****, sorry to say.

But, I'm older (36) and wasn't looking for a fart can sound...liked the stock exhaust with M62 so much better.

NOW, could be tuning issues...HPTuners came with my ZZP order so I'm starting to log and learn and have yet another ZZP order on the way (LS4 TB, 60# injectors, Stage2 pulley (3.1") and AEM WB) so I'm hoping in time to improve performance and sound quality as well.

HA! I don't like to knock ZZP given the $$$ I've spent with them so far on my balt but I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks it could sound much, much better. Manny, I'm going to try dynomax super turbo muffler very soon...keep you posted if you don't beat me to it.

Will do. Also, pretty drunk right now but tomorrow night will do another video, after ZZP exhaust. Here is the before, old and viewed by most here on CobaltSS.net but just for reference here it is again:

YouTube - ZZP SC stage1 for Cobalt 2.4l

Gimmie 20 hours or so and I'll post the after vid...just don't expect to hear that beautiful M62 sound

I probably wont be ordering mine till the end of may. But am definitely curious how a catted longtube is going to sound on a non resonated SLP 2.5" catback.
Should be interesting. Might have to add a resonator Im thinking I will pick up some rasp. But the power gain will be worth the trade off. I do think the tennpenn ion posted above sounds pretty good though just a hint of rasp.
